jBEAM as professional software for acquisition, processing, analysis and visualization of measurement data provides a solution for any possible task in the field of sports. Whether GPS tracks from cycling, training routes or preferred running trails, heart rate data, travelled distance and altitude difference, number of steps or bike and pedal speeds on bicycles, everything that can be metrologically measured, is evaluable with jBEAM.
Велосипед / ходьба
GPS tracks from cycling or running trails, travelled distances, height differences and much more - all measurable quantities can be evaluated with jBEAM.
Analysis of a Bicycle Tour with jBEAM
For recording a bicycle tour just a GPS-instrument is required. We use instruments from the market leader Garmin. Possible variants are sport watches, bicycle computer as well as hand-held instruments. For practical and technical reasons, they should be mount stationary. These instruments determine using GPS the position in defined intervals and save them in sequence as GPS-Track. A few of them offer additional features for optimize the memory requirements: there is the possibility to save data just at one change of direction, that means to leave unnecessary data. Furthermore it is useful, when in addition to the GPS-data more information can be saved, for example the heart rate, the cadence, the wheel speed… depending on what you want to utilize. Many GPS-instruments show also during the training further information such as speed, the course or the energy consumption, which are not always recorded. If you are well versed in this instrument – of course no one wants unnecessary data loss due to unneeded handling errors – nothing gets in the way of the further preparation. After the training and the data transfer the interpretation in jBEAM can be started.
Interpretation with jBEAM
After successful data transfer all interpretation options in jBEAM are available.
Walking - Rolling
The forces during rolling off the foot can be represented and analyzed by jBEAM. It is possible to set an automatic split of up to 1000 steps, to draw 1000 steps about each other as well as represent an average curve.
